Quick Answers
Common Questions.
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a SIM card built into your phone. Instead of a plastic card, you add it by scanning a QR code or typing in details, and it works alongside your home SIM.
Can I keep my home number?
Yes. Your home SIM stays in the phone for calls and messages. A TasESIM plan carries mobile data only, so apps like WhatsApp keep working on your usual number.
Can I scan the QR code on the same phone?
No. A phone cannot scan a QR code on its own screen. Show it on a second screen or print it, or type the details in by hand.
Why should I turn Data Roaming on?
A travel eSIM connects to local networks while you are abroad, so your phone treats it as roaming. Turn Data Roaming on for the travel eSIM line only.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, at any time before you install the eSIM. If we cannot deliver your eSIM after you paid, we always refund you in full.
My QR code was already used.
eSIM QR codes usually work once. If the install stopped part-way or you changed phones, contact support before trying again.
