Travel eSIM for Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia receives travellers for Umrah and Hajj as well as business and leisure. A travel eSIM means you can land with data already set up, rather than looking for a SIM counter after a long flight.

Networks
Which Network Will It Use in Saudi Arabia?
Your eSIM is set up to work on:
Mobily
Only one network is included for this destination, so coverage depends on that network where you are.
Your phone normally picks the strongest of these automatically, so you do not need to choose. Which network connects can vary by location, and coverage is not guaranteed everywhere. Networks and coverage can also change over time.
No signal or no internet? First check that the eSIM line is on and Data Roaming is on for it. If it still fails, open the SIM settings for the eSIM, turn off automatic network selection and pick one of the networks above. Turn automatic selection back on when you leave the area.
Before You Fly
Get Ready at Home.
Check your phone supports eSIM. Use our phone check.
Make sure it is network-unlocked. Ask your carrier if you are unsure.
Install before departure, on Wi-Fi. The install guide has the steps for iPhone and Android.
For this trip: If you travel with a group or operator, ask whether they will share messages or updates by phone, and make sure your own phone is ready to receive them.
On Arrival
Switch On in Saudi Arabia.
Turn off airplane mode.
Turn on Data Roaming for the eSIM line and set mobile data to that line. Keep your home SIM for calls and WhatsApp.
Wait a minute for the network to appear, then open a web page to test. Message your family from your home number on WhatsApp to let them know you have landed.
Good to Know
Notes for Saudi Arabia.
Umrah and Hajj travellers. Many pilgrims travel with family or a group and rely on messaging for coordination. Install the eSIM at home, on Wi-Fi, so you are not setting up a phone in a busy terminal.
Crowded places. In very busy places signal can be slow for everyone. Save important details, such as hotel address and booking numbers, on your phone so you can open them without a connection.
Maps. Download offline maps of the cities you will visit before you fly, as a backup.
Airport and hotel Wi-Fi is not secure. Anyone on the same network may be able to see what you do on it. Pair your eSIM with TasVPN for extra privacy on public networks.
